This facebook friend, and long time personal friend of mine is Karen Montague, known to most of us as Monty. Monty has been a client of mine for many years, but after so many competitions and wins, she knows what to do with herself to get herself ready for events, Im on call for suggestions or criticism.. Both of which she takes very well. She flits from one federation to another selecting the events she wishes to participate and has even represented New Zealand in the Arnold Amateur where Monty placed very well. Monty first competed at the NZFBB auckland Champs in May 2005 and I remember her well from that event. Everyone was thinking where has this girl sprung from.
To date Monty has 18 1st places, 5 x 2nd places, 1 x 3rd place, 1 x 4th, and 2 x 5th places - One of which was at the Arnold. Very impressive results Monty!
Tall, lean and with excellent structure, Monty has one of my favourite physiques. She stands tall, holds herself well, looking almost statuesque and has a professionalisn that takes competitors years to learn. At the moment I personally think Monty is stuck between a rock and a hard place. She comes in good condition for events, but the two federations she has been competing for lately tend to go fro the more striated look in the figure class. I personally prefer Monty abit fuller and a little softer as she presented herself in the Bodyfitness class with the NZFBB.
My best wishes go out to Monty this weekend when she competes in the North Harbour Champs. When ever Monty competes you know she will always be in good nick, and always chatting and helping the newbies as she does, plus she always dones the most fabulous bikinis. Theres a few I'd like to keep at my place..
